I Made You Look !

Welcome
Welcome to my section of Vangloria Envy called “I Made You Look”. As a Roxbury native of Boston, I feel like certain urban areas are annoyed by the mainstream public. There are so many historical places, monuments, graffiti, and interesting subjects on the town. This page will give people who are not familiar to the diminish Boston underground discoveries and small adventures across the United States. Take the time to check this out because “some of the most beautiful things in life are the things undiscovered” and that’s why I made you look. Enjoy

Alexander McQueen Exhibit

Lee Alexander McQueen was a designer I discover my junior year of college. I started to take a liking toward surfing on Style.com which is the offspring site of Vogue.com America. It was a fall collection that involved Alexander McQueen being inspired by the sea creatures he have seen during a trip he taken. At first I thought the garment were not wearable and the other thought was is these garments fashion clothing or fashion art. As the show continued I was in shock to see the different elements, shapes, seams, and screen printed garments. From that point on I took the time to study this man thoughts base on his collection and clothing piece by piece. Meanwhile toward the end of my senior there was a report of Alexander McQueen have hung himself in his home right after his closest friend left for the night. I nearly lost all feelings at the moment in the sewing lab because I was sure I would attend graduate school in London in order to one day intern for him. Alexander McQueen vision was “undefined” by no law of fashion and I was grateful enough to have seen his exhibit at the (MET) located in New York City. Seeing his work up close made me realize how much time and effort goes in design wearable clothing. After leaving the exhibit, I was sure what my place would be in fashion.
