My name is Tushawn White born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in the inner city of Roxbury located in Dudley where Malcom X once lived. After finishing my associate degree in Psychology and General Education at Bunker Hill Community College, I decided to study aboard in London. After taking up British Culture and Society I realize as an artist, fashion can be a cross over for me to express my talents. Looking back to old pictures in high school, I realize I was bit of a showcase, with a taste for being different clothing that expressed me. Meanwhile I decided to transfer to Framingham State College where I would learn the basics of sewing and the importance of the business side of fashion. Besides being the only guy in most of my classes, I had to apply myself quicker because most people in the program have done fashion their whole life. Every project I taken up was a lot of hard work and creativity. As a graduate of the class of 2009, I plan on attending graduate school in London with the intention to continue to learn about the fundamentals of fashion, and create my own label.
